Bluetrek's Carbon Is the World's First Carbon Fiber Bluetooth Headset

The Bluetrek Carbon is in fact the world's first ever real carbon fiber Bluetooth headset. The carbon fiber construction allows the Carbon Bluetooth headset to be so light that it only weighs .25 ounces (5.9 grams). Earhooks are apparently unnecessary on the Carbon as it comes with 4 different sized ear buds that promises you a very comfortable fit, even if you're wearing glasses. The Carbon is now on sale for a competitive print point of $69.99 and packs Bluetooth 3.0, simultaneous connection to 2 mobile phones, wind and echo noise-cancellation and more. Head on over to the Carbon's product page for more.

Remember Apple's Bluetooth Headset?

Apple's Bluetooth Headset was first introduced back in 2007, when the world received one of the biggest contribution in mobile history, the iPhone. Unfortunately Apple's black and slim Bluetooth headset is no longer with us and has been discontinued by Apple in early 2009. Why? No one really knows but maybe the steep $129 price tag and mediocre audio quality drove consumers away towards other offerings like BlueAnt and Jawbone. Maybe Apple should try designing a whole new Bluetooth headset with an attractive price point and better quality. I would love to see Apple design something with similar curves as the iPhone 4 or better yet, the soon to be iPhone 5. Until then, there are many great options out there.

Psyko Launches Carbon & Krypton Gaming Headsets

Psyko's new Krypton PC gaming headset with 5.1 surround sound now replaces the discontinued Psyko 5.1 gaming headset and its set to improve on audio quality, removable mic mounting and reduce sound leakage. Paired with the new Psyko Krypton gaming headset is a Psyko Amplifier used to power and drive these huge headphones with fully adjustable bass and volume control. A neat little feature on the Kryptons allow you to easily talk with your buddies around you without having to remove the headset thanks to the side ear cup vents that pivot open and also let cool air flow in. The Krypton set will run you $149.99.

The Carbon gaming headset will set you back $199.99, and it too packs all the same features as the Krypton but adds small extras like gold plated connectors, braided tangle-free cable and more high-performance speakers. These headsets were designed specifically for gaming and pwning noobs with real 5.1 surround sound, sounds good to me. Both the Carbon and Krypton gaming headsets are available right now.

iSkin Announces earTones Headsets

iSkin's new earTones look like an improved version of Apple's iPhone headsets that we all know are mediocre to say the least. iSkin promises serious, high-definition sound quality suitable for watching movies, playing games and of course, music listening. The earTones have a slim inline mic compatible with iOS devices, Macs and BlackBerry devices. Unlike most earphones on the market, the earTones are not in-ears but rather earbuds and do not get inside your ear canals. For comfort, iSkin designed the earTones to have a flexible tip called FlexFit which promises a more comfortable and easy fit. The earTones are available now in six different colors for $39.99.
