Official Apple iPad 2 Accessories

Besides the new iPad 2, Apple released a few new accessories for the iPad 2. The three most notable accessories include the Smart Covers which double as a stand, a new iPad 2 Dock made specifically for the iPad 2 and a new Digital AV Adapter with a full HDMI output that supports full 1080p HD playback. Although the new Digital AV Adapter came out for the iPad 2, it will also be compatible with the current iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad. The iPad 2 will be the only one capable of outputting full 1080p while the rest will have to put with just 720p playback. In addition to HDMI out, you will also be able to charge your iPad, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G using the Digital AV Adapter while outputting content. 

You will have to wait until March 11 to get your hands on these new iPad 2 accessories though. The Smart Covers run for $39-69, the iPad 2 Dock $29 and the Digital AV Adapter will set you back $39 not including an HDMI cable. Now it's your turn 3rd parties!

Angry Birds is quickly becoming an iOS gaming icon with many new branded accessories, and now Mattel are coming out with the official Angry Birds playset at CES 2011. The Angry Birds Knock On Wood game will retail for $15 in May and will include all the above.

The Legendary Bob Marley will now be remembered even more closely by these Bob Marley inspired over-ear headphones and in-ear earphones. The House of Marley was created by Bob Marley's family and helps support the Marley family charity. The audio products line are made with eco-conscious materials have robust bass. Incipio & Alpinestars Release iPhone 4 Cases

Incipio collaborated with Alpinestars and released two new cases catered towards the fast and the furious amongst us. The Tech 10 for the iPhone 4 pictured in green is a dermaSHOT silicone case that features the Alpinestars pattern and has an anti-static coating to help prevent lint from sticking. The Tech 10 case is now available and comes in five colors for $24.99. The Alpincestars Bionic Silicrylic for the iPhone 4 is a two-piece hybrid case that features a hard polycarbonate outer shell and a silicone inner layer. Sony Releasing Official PlayStation App

Sony has announced that it is releasing the official free PlayStation app for both iOS and Android devices. The PlayStation app will only be available in Europe when it comes out soon but there are already plans to add more countries. Version 1.0 will have the following features with more to come:

• Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
• Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
• Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
• Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.

HP Slate Officially Selling For $799

Yes that's right the HP Slate is official and will indeed be ready to be purchased by your hard earned cash for $799. At this price point it's a bit hard to forget about Apple's iPad but HP's Slate has a full fledged Windows 7 professional operating system on it with touch interface that you can use with your finger as well as a stylus. Engadget has posted their first impressions with the HP Slate and will have a review up very soon.

The Slate packs an 8.9" capacitive touch display at a 1024x600 resolution and it's powered by a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB SSD and Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator for smooth 1080p video playback. The back of the Slate has a soft touch coating and designed to provide good grip while it's surrounded by a metal bezel which might remind you of the iPad. For $799 you're also going to get a docking station that acts as a stand for the Slate with a built-in HDMI-out port and two cameras including a front facing VGA camera and a back facing camera with 3MP.
