Magpul announced that its popular and highly textured Field Case cases are now available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, with the more rugged dual-layered Bump Case dropping in as late as spring. Magpul kept the Field Case true to its original design with of course only its form factor slimmed down to fit Apple's slimmer, and much rounder smartphone.

The new Magpul Field Case for the iPhone 6 is a semi-rigid cover designed to provide basic protection in the field. Using a new synthetic material, the Field Case features PMAG-style ribs for added grip, snap-on design for easy installation and removal, and slides easily in and out of pockets without snagging.

Although the iPhone 6 Plus case is expected to start shipping in mid-December, customers can now order the Field Case for the iPhone 6 in black and olive drab green with more colors to come soon – for $17. In addition to newly released cases for the new iPhones, Magpul has also made a Bump Case (ships in mid-December) and Field Case (now available) cases for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Magpul's New iPhone 5s Bump Case Reports For Duty

Magpul's highly anticipated tactical Bump Case for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 is now available in 7 colors for $27. Although it features a similar textured ribbed surface design as the inexpensive Field Case we reviewed, the Bump Case offers more protection in that it combines a hard polymer exterior shell with a shock absorbing semi-rigid interior layer to maximize protection against abrasions and impacts without adding unnecessary bulk. The Bump Case's hybrid dual co-moulded material construction is reminiscent of the all too popular Speck CandyShell, albeit tactical in the way it looks and feels.

The company that is more known for manufacturing third party tactical gear for weapons managed to impress us with its affordably priced, USA-made iPhone cases in the past, namely the Field Case for the iPhone 5 which has proven to be a really terrific value for the amount of grip, fit and finish it offered compared to countless cases selling at more than double the price. While it's true that now Magpul has raised the price of its original Field Case from $13 to $17, we think it still remains to be a superb option. The Bump Case on the other hand will set you back $27, however, understandably so as it's a more complex case to produce.

Magpul iPhone 5 Field Case Brings Tactical Magazine Styling To Everyone

Magpul's highly anticipated Field Case for the iPhone 5 got the green light. The tactical case is inspired by Magpul's famous PMAG rifle magazines in that it features the same rib styling which is designed to provide additional grip. Magpul's Field Case for the iPhone 5 is made from a semi-rigid, durable thermoplastic (TPU) material and features a slim protective profile. The iPhone 5 Field Case is known for its bang for your buck bargain pricing of just $13. It'll be available in the coming weeks.

In additional, Magpul will also introduce a more expensive yet similar in style iPhone 5 case called the Bump Case. A $30 case that'll offer more protection than the Field Case with its dual-layer and co-molded construction. It combines a hard protective outer shell with a shock-absorbing interior. Both cases are designed and manufactured in the USA.
