The New Ringke by Rearth is one of the better Silicone cases I've come across for the iPhone 4. It retails for $16.99 on their website and its available in a plethora of colors. Its a really slim case and the case is shaped exactly like the iPhone 4 itself, it goes as far as to putting the notches of where the antenna is on the device.
I have been a long time user of the original iSkin Revo for the first iPhone for about 2 years, and that case has been thru so much and kept my iPhone safe and sound for such a long time. It's amazing how after that much time, the Revo held up so well it could have served me for many more years. And now we have the new iSkin Revo4 case for the iPhone 4. This case is one of my favorite cases of all time for the iPhone, and the iPhone 4 version is just as good as past generations. The Revo4 is a very tough silicone case that offers complete protection for your iPhone 4.
SGP's Ultra Silke R case for the iPhone 4 is a simplistic form fitting silicone case. The Ultra Silke R is a great case for the money that includes SGP's popular screen protector as well as flash diffusing rings. I really love the look and feel of the Silke case although it doesn't add much grip, it doesn't attract any lint to itself because of the smooth high polymer coating. The Silke form fits nicely to the iPhone 4's design and lines and doesn't add any bulk to it which really lets you enjoy the original size of the iPhone 4. You will be happy to know that the camera and flash cutout is widely cut and does not interfere with the LED flash or image at all. Even though SGP includes flash diffusing rings with this case, they are not even necessary to install. Buttons are fully covered yet stay very responsive to click. The dock connector has a generous cutout with divided speaker and mic cutouts. The silent switch is also easy to get to. The Silke provides a slight lip over the screen should you want to place your iPhone 4 face down.
You will notice some added silicone on the back for extra protection but because this isn't a bulky silicone case, I won't recommend it for drop protection. The Silke does a good job protecting the iPhone 4 from scratches, bumps and daily use. You can get the Ultra Silke R case in five colors. Price $19.99.
Iv'e always been a big fan of Case-Mate's Hybrid Tough cases for the iPhone, and now we have the popular Tough case for the iPhone 4. The Tough case does not disappoint in it's tough name, this is one tough case for the iPhone 4. The Tough case is a two part hybrid case that consists of a hard ABS plastic shell and a soft thin silicone skin to absorb shock. With these two materials combined, you get some awesome protection from drops and bumps. You would think that this case would add a lot of bulk to your iPhone but it really does not. Because of the thin silicone layer, the Tough case is about 1/2 of an inch thick and you really get a pretty non-bulky case that provides some great protection. Installation is so easy that it will take you a few seconds to put on the Tough case on your iPhone 4. And once it's on, you immediately feel that extra tough protection and security that was just added to your iPhone.
Not only does the Tough case pack some serious protection, it looks pretty futuristic with it's back pattern. You will notice that it has this texture on the hard ABD plastic shell, which provides outstanding grip. This matte hard shell also feels very smooth and soft to the touch. There is a very nice lip on the the screen from the silicone rim which provides a great lay-on-the-table design. Ports are all easily accessible. The sleep/wake and volume buttons are covered by the silicone layer and are very responsive. The camera cutout is nicely cut and does not affect the flash. The bottom part of the Tough case is also nicely cut to easily fit 3rd party sync connectors.
You can use any back skin or decal with the Tough case without any issues. The back of the Tough case does not attract any lint but the silicone parts can attract some. The only issue I came across was that the bottom piece of the silicone under the home button is a bit flimsy, and that's because of the thinness of the silicone layer. However this should not affect your everyday use. Case-Mate includes a decent clear screen protector which is a nice addition to have especially when you don'y already have one. I would highly recommend the Tough case. Available in black, gray and white. Price $34.99.
