CalypsoCrystal CalypsoCase Summer 2013 Collection Review

CalypsoCrystal recently introduced its new summer 2013 collection-themed CalypsoCase for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S, and it is now being offered in multiple stylish flavors including this summery metallic leather with a sparkling golden color finish that only a true fashionista would dare rock. Unless we haven't gotten our facts straight, that's about all there is to know about CalypsoCrystal's recent extravagant luxury items.

In all seriousness, CalypsoCrystal's latest summer 2013 collection of luxurious handmade leather sleeves for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4/S and even the Samsung Galaxy S4 are the same incredibly amazing sleeves we've reviewed and simply adored in the past on a few occasions. Because we're fans of absurd high standards, and well because CalypsoCrystal was nice enough to let us have a look at one of their latest CalypsoCase sleeves in what the company calls the Kansas Gardens color - which really is just a beautifully metallic gold leather variant of the conservative natural looking leather types that is finished off with a sparkly texture that'll sure to stand out in a crowded public gathering; we couldn't refrain from sharing with you this amazing handmade piece of brilliant metallic Italian leather. So we took a couple of shots.

Not much has changed except for the fact that the CalypsoCase sleeves and the CalypsoCase Cabrio cases are now being offered in refreshing colors which are now more glamorous, and blingy than ever before. Our view on the CalypsoCase still stands to be extremely positive. We think the CalypsoCase is still the best leather sleeve you can purchase for the iPhone because of its great quality fit and finish, and strong protective nature seldom found in other sleeves of this type. CalypsoCrystal briefly noted that it has redesigned and improved its case lineup, but our CalypsoCase for the iPhone 5 doesn't seem any different nor improved in any way compared to the cases we've previously reviewed. Which isn't to say that it really needed any improving. The only arguable negative involving this particular golden colored CalypsoCase that I'd like to make note of is that the distinct smell of quality leather is sadly suffocated by this metallic finish. It's safe to assume that all metallic colors will be as odorless.

The CalypsoCase features a titanium reinforcement band underneath smooth and sumptuous Italian leather, and stitched leather edge. This unique combination creates a hard shell for your iPhone 5 to slide in and out of while it is being overly protected when tucked inside the form-fitting, soft fabric lined interior. It's important to note that while you'll be spending $119 on this golden CalypsoCase and others like it for that matter, it isn't actually plated or sprayed with real gold. Kanye West might own one though. Joking aside, I'm not sure that it gets any more realistic and convincing to the naked eye than this fine shade of metallic gold bling.

If stylish if what you're into, it doesn't gets any flashier than CalypsoCrystal's new summer 2013 CalypsoCase and CalypsoCase Cabrio collection of iPhone cases and sleeves.
