Prizm Aluminum Stand Grasps Your iPad, Tablets, Smartphones & Beyond

Hub Innovations has released a few stand offerings at CES 2012, but only one of them has caught our attention. It's called the Prizm. A stand that is a sleek architectural masterpiece that might remind your of the movie District 9 even. It's made from aluminum alloys and precious metals like 14k gold. Comprised of two identical parts, no thicker than a pencil, this stand slides together and creates what Hub Innovations calls the most versatile stand on the market. We can agree to disagree on that statement. Available in two sizes, the Prizm is a portable universal stand capable of holding anything from iPads and tablets, books and notepads to smartphones and MP3 players.

This low-profile stand comes in several anodized colors as well as premium metals like 14k gold, antique brass, antique copper, antique nickel and carbon fiber. It doesn't look like those sharp metal prongs have any form of padding from where we're standing and Hub Innovations has noting to say regarding that. The Prizm stand ranges in price from $24.95 to $34.95 and beyond.

Scan Photos Into Digital Using Your iPhone With Ion's Pics 2 Go

This mini portable photo booth is a simple solution that will bring 3x5 and 4x6 printed pictures onto a user’s iPhone in a matter of seconds. Ion's new Pics 2 Go helps you easily bring all of your precious photos prints, negatives and slides into the digital world by using the built-in camera on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 without the need of a computer. Using your iPhone to "scan" photos into digital ones sounds very familiar. It includes a free app that allows users to edit slides and pictures and invert negatives into actual photos. The app also includes color correction, brightness controls and the ability to email or post a picture to Facebook instantly, all without a computer.

The Pics 2 Go photo tray features separate areas for 3×5 and 4×6 prints so the picture is held perfectly straight and ready to capture. There's a hinged frame that gently presses photos flat and prevents them from bowing. The design of Pics 2 Go ensures consistency and quality because photos are always in the same position with the same lighting, and your iPhone camera is always in the same spot so there’s no adjustment needed.
Two additional trays are included, one for negatives and one for slides. No exact release date available. But the $59.99 price tag sure makes us think why not just use a printer scanner?

Soundmatters foxLO Subwoofer Injects More Thump Into Portable Speakers

Soundmatters, known for its portable bluetooth speakers, has revealed its first subwoofer called the foxLO. What's so special about it you ask? It's only the world's first palm-sized hi-fi subwoofer that features proprietary Magnetic Drive woofer technology with passive radiators that will add additional 25 watt amplification of clean, deep bass to the portable foxL v2 Bluetooth speaker once connected to its subwoofer output as well as any other portable bluetooth and non-Bluetooth speaker such as the Jambox using the foxLO's full pass audio output connection. But there is a catch, the foxLO is a little power hungry bugger and will require wall juice instead of running on a built-in rechargeable battery. Not so portable now.

It also features a USB output for charging your gadgets when connected to a wall outlet of course since there's no built-in battery remember? - and a bass volume adjuster. You'll be able to grab yours this spring for $149.
