Misfit Unveils More Affordable Flash Fitness Tracker

As its second and most affordable wearable yet, Misfit has introduced the Flash fitness tracker in a variety of energetic colors. The Flash is a non-rechargeable, lightweight and durable $50 tracker that like Misfit's more premium aluminum made Shine tracker we reviewed a while ago, can be worn on the wrist or anywhere else on the body using the included and interchangeable silicone wristband and magnetic clasp accessories in order for you to effortlessly track your daily activities such as steps, calories, distance, sleep quality and duration, and even cycling and swimming.

But unlike the jewelry and high-end appeal of the more elegant Shine model, the sportier looking Flash is less expensive due to its soft-touch rubber finished all-plastic construction and non-touch sensitive one-button functionality. It's also noticeably thicker, albeit lighter than the Shine at 8mm vs. 3.3mm due to the inclusion of a physical button mechanism, but should still be very comfortable to wear. The Flash doesn't skip on features though. It still features the same features and functionality as the more expensive Shine tracker like Misfit's iconic LED light halo meter which displays your activity goal, waterproof enclosure, wireless Bluetooth iOS and Android app syncing support and a long-lasting 6 month battery life (using a single user-replaceable coin cell CR2032 watch battery). Misfit's Flash will ship in October and is now available for pre-order in 7 different colors for $50.
